FAMILY CATECHESIS NEWSLETTER: 

 

It was truly a blessing to see so many families at our ZOOM gathering to celebrate the Feast Day for Saint Mary Magdalene and to receive Spiritual Communion with our beloved saints on earth and in heaven!!!  Those who attended got to “meet” Pastor Edgar Garcia, who served as our translator.   Father Bausch, especially, was deeply touched to have so many faithful saints participating!!!

SAINTS and CHARACTER FORMATION

​

The foundation of our Family Catechesis IS  character formation that reflects and magnifies our living God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Becoming close friends with Jesus and the saints described in Scripture is a very powerful way to grow through God’s transforming love in our hearts!!!  Re-read the introduction to Rediscover the Saints by Matthew Kelly:

THIS WEEK:  BLESSED SUMMER ADVENTURE:  Session #5:  Your First Reconciliation:  

 

BE SURE TO SHARE THE SESSION #5 LINK THAT WE SENT YOU  WITH YOUR CHILDREN SO THEY CAN FOLLOW EACH STEP OF THE SESSION AND CLICK ON TO THE VIDEOS!!!

The children are learning that no matter how far we may wander from God, he will never stop searching for us and he will never stop encouraging us to become the-best-version-of-ourselves, grow in character, and live holy lives.

 

The children are preparing for and practicing the 5 steps for Reconciliation: Examination of Conscience, Confession, Penance, Contrition, and Absolution.

 

The children are learning to find and read passages in the Bible.  This week is LUKE 15:11-32:  The Story of the Lost (Prodigal) Son

 

The children are MEMORIZING the Gloria BE.

 

PLEASE  ENCOURAGE THEM TO PRAY (LISTEN AND TALK WITH GOD) EVERY DAY AND WRITE/DRAW IN THEIR PRAYER JOURNALS....

 

WE LOVE AND PRAY FOR ALL OF YOU......FOR YOUR HEALTH AND GROWTH IN GOD’S PEACEFUL PRESENCE!!!!
