NOTES from Session #2: Learning Tools for Faith Formation: BIBLE and CATECHISM and ONLINE sources

  1. Review of St. Francis as a role model for us to imitate.(Some examples from families):

  2. He really cared about God and wanted to be close to him

  3. He was so close to Jesus

  4. He had a vision of Jesus on the cross even had the stigmata or wounds that Jesus had.

  5. He looked after the poor.

  6. He brought peace wherever he went: He trained a wolf to ask for food and not hurt the people in a village.

  7. He was humble with people and gentle with animals.

  8. He didn't want to be rich in money or clothes and gave money to help a poor church.

  9. He believed the most important three things were Jesus coming to earth as a human baby (CRIB), his dying one the CROSS to save us from a life of sin, and giving us his Body and Blood in the Mass (Eucharist) CHALICE/CUP
