WHAT does FAITH in GOD mean to you?
Sample answers:
FAITH: The gift God gives us to believe and trust in him from deep inside of our souls. God invites us to receive this gift and choose to believe and trust him.
God loves us so much. He gave all of us this special gift of Faith that helps us want to obediently follow God and His WORD with all our hearts, so we can be with him forever.
For God loved us so much that he gave his only Son to die for our sins in our place, so that everyone who believes in him may not die, but have eternal life (in His Kingdom of Heaven) John 3:16. God sent His Son into the world to be our SAVIOR.
With this gift of FAITH growing in us, we TRUST that God is always with us to guide us and provide for us.
From the Bible: By faith, Abraham obeyed when he was called by God to go to a place where he was to receive an inheritance, and he went out, not knowing where he was to go. " and became the Father of many nations. (See Genesis 12:1-4)

workbooks at the various levels. (See examples of what

3. Read Our Catholic Tradition for each level. This section will
help you learn about the lives of holy people and the special
practices of the Catholic faith.
4. Complete the ACTIVITY for each lesson. These activities will
help you practice what you are learning. CHOOSE the right
ASSIGNMENT for each child.
5. Say the Glory BE prayer....thanking God in Three Persons
for inviting us to part of God's Kingdom now and forever:
GLORY BE Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be w world without end. AMEN
6. End the Family Group time with the Lord's Prayer:

God the Father is the First Person of the Holy Trinity.
At Mass we pray in the Nicene Creed, I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
God created everything out of love. God created each of us in his image. We share in God’s own life and love. God created each of us with a body and a soul. We are children of God.
We come to know God in the beauty of creation.
We come to know God in the Bible.
The life of Jesus tells us about God.
The Church teaches us about God, who is All-holy.
The Church helps us know, love, and serve God.
Level 5:
Faith is a gift from God.
Faith is God’s invitation to trust and believe in him.
It is also our response to that invitation.
At Mass we join with our parish community and profess our faith. We pray the Nicene Creed aloud. We begin,

v. What do we mean when we say that we believe in God?
To believe in someone means to have faith in or to put our TRUST in someone.
We can also believe something because of the trustworthiness and truthfulness of the person who shares it with us.
We believe in and trust God. We believe what God has revealed, or made known, to us. God is truthful and trustworthy beyond any doubt. This is our Catholic faith.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit

Review the Stories about ABRAM who was later called ABRAHAM by GOD in your Bible and Bible Chronicles Stories 6-10. Write what you are learning about God and those who love and trust in God in your journal.

IMPORTANT TEACHING for Learning and Growing in the FAITH
PART ONE: WE BELIEVE.
Lesson 1. Faith and Revelation
Covenant , Revelation of God, Fullness of Revelation, Magisterium
God created us, in his likeness, to live in close, loving communion with the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) forever.
God creates a yearning in our souls that can only be fully satisfied by God’s Love and living out His Will and Plan.
Faith is a gift from God. Faith is God’s invitation to trust and believe in him. It is also our response to that invitation. God is always trustworthy, always truthful and always good.
The more we believe that God truly loves us and has a plan for our lives, the more we love him back and then receive more faith and love to share with others.
The more faith we have, the easier it is to OBEY what God tells us to do as Abraham did with courage to follow God’s direction.
God made a COVENANT or loving commitment to Abraham to make him the father of many nations for being obedient and faithful.
Revelation of God: God reveals himself
Nature: in the beauty and order of his creation.
Sacred Scripture/BIBLE: inspired written Word of God
Fullness of Revelation of God is through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ, the WORD of God in the flesh
Jesus Christ IS the NEW Covenant or loving commitment to fulfill God’s promise of salvation/reconciliation
Sacred Tradition: The Apostles passed on what Jesus taught them through the power of the Holy Spirit. This is how the faith of the Church is passed on to us.
Holy Spirit: Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to guide all believers.
Pope: successor of St. Peter the Apostle in union with the Bishops are guided by the Holy Spirit to proclaim a teaching of faith and morals without error: infallibility.
Magisterium: The church’s authority to pass on God’s Revelation

5. ¿Qué queremos decir cuando decimos que creemos en Dios?

PRIMERA PARTE: CREEMOS.
Lección 1. Fe y Revelación
Alianza, Revelación de Dios, Plenitud de la Revelación, Magisterio
Dios nos creó, a su semejanza, para vivir en estrecha y amorosa comunión con la Santísima Trinidad (Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo) para siempre.
Dios crea un anhelo en nuestras almas que solo puede ser plenamente satisfecho por el Amor de Dios y viviendo Su Voluntad y Plan.
La fe es un regalo de Dios. La fe es la invitación de Dios a confiar y creer en él. Es también nuestra respuesta a esa invitación. Dios es siempre digno de confianza, siempre veraz y siempre bueno.
Cuanto más creemos que Dios realmente nos ama y tiene un plan para nuestras vidas, más lo amamos y luego recibimos más fe y amor para compartir con los demás.
Cuanta más fe tengamos, más fácil será OBEDECER lo que Dios nos dice que hagamos como lo hizo Abraham con valor para seguir la dirección de Dios.
Dios hizo un PACTO o compromiso amoroso con Abraham para hacerlo padre de muchas naciones por ser obediente y fiel.
Revelación de Dios: Dios se revela a sí mismo
Naturaleza: en la belleza y el orden de su creación.
Sagrada Escritura/BIBLIA: Palabra de Dios escrita inspirada
Plenitud de la Revelación
Jesucristo, la PALABRA de Dios en la carne
Jesucristo ES el NUEVO Pacto o compromiso amoroso para cumplir la promesa de salvación/reconciliación de Dios
Sagrada Tradición: Los Apóstoles transmitieron lo que Jesús les enseñó a través del poder del Espíritu Santo. Así se nos transmite la fe de la Iglesia.
