ALL FAMILIES: Write or draw responses to these questions in your journals:

What is the purpose of our Family Catechesis?

Sample answers:

To offer our families the opportunity to learn and practice a NEW WAY OF LIFE that God created for us to live every moment of every day. We are learning how to truly live fulfilling lives in God's Kingdom, now and forever.

(Our Almighty God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit created us out of DIVINE LOVE.

God gave us the gift of Faith to receive and TRUST this LOVE and to respond in LOVE.......)

WHAT does FAITH in GOD mean to you?

Sample answers:

FAITH: The gift God gives us to believe and trust in him from deep inside of our souls. God invites us to receive this gift and choose to believe and trust him.

God loves us so much. He gave all of us this special gift of Faith that helps us want to obediently follow God and His WORD with all our hearts, so we can be with him forever.

For God loved us so much that he gave his only Son to die for our sins in our place, so that everyone who believes in him may not die, but have eternal life (in His Kingdom of Heaven) John 3:16. God sent His Son into the world to be our SAVIOR.

With this gift of FAITH growing in us, we TRUST that God is always with us to guide us and provide for us.

From the Bible: By faith, Abraham obeyed when he was called by God to go to a place where he was to receive an inheritance, and he went out, not knowing where he was to go. " and became the Father of many nations. (See Genesis 12:1-4)

How does God REVEAL himself to YOU?
